First Post!

    Hi, I'm Jocelyn! I like to read, watch TV and movies, and draw. My favorite movies at the moment are Fight Club, 10 things I hate about you, The Crow, and Twilight. As for TV shows, I have too many favorites to list. My experience in my Media Studies class has been good so far. I like my teacher and I'm glad I have friends in my class. So far, we have learned about denotation and connotation with stills from TV shows. We also made a movie poster with the reason why we chose the class, and I used Canva for the first time to make the poster. I hope to gain appreciation for people that make media. I always consume media and do not consider how difficult it must be to make a magazine or a film and produce it. I'm hoping that after making my portfolio, I will gain a deeper appreciation for the hard work put into the media I consume. I'm considering making a magazine for my product because I feel more comfortable editing pictures and putting together a magazine rather than editing a video to make a movie introduction.
